AGE REQUIREMENT: For Groups Y, O, J, for both credit card holders and cash renters minimum age 21 and maximum 70 yrs. For all other groups groups minimum age 25 and maximum age 70 yrs.
DRIVERS LICENCE: A valid licence held for at least one year is required.
MINIMUM RENTAL: One day. Every hour in excess is calculated at 1/4 daily rental.
CANCELLATIONS: Notification of rental or reservation cancellation must be given at least 7 days in advance otherwise the reservation fee of will be charged, as well as any credit card cancellation costs.
CONFIRMATIONS: We will ask for you to confirm your rental details, these will be automatically cancelled if not confirmed within specified time limits. In such cases no refunds are given.
TRAFFIC FINES: Tickets and attached administrative sanctions, resulting from any form of violation of the Greek Traffic Law during rental period are borne solely by the renter. Days vehicle cannot be rented will also be charged to renter.
DEPOSITS: Deposits are required for rentals being delivered and collected to Airport and Port. Deposits are taken in the form of signed open credit cards or cash deposits for non-credit card holders equal to the value of the groups excess policy.
CREDIT CARDS: Primary driver must have a valid credit card and/or be able to present cash amount according to excess policy as a deposit.
FUEL: Fuel consumption is payable by the renter. Out fuel policy is ‘same to same’. Clients are obliged to leave the car with the same amount of fuel as when delivered, otherwise a fuel charge will be put forward. We do not give refunds for car returned with excess fuel.
CHILD COTS / BABY SEATS / BOOSTER SEATS: This equipment is only available upon request, an extra 5€ per day is charged when available. We provide car seats which are of a basic standard. Our seats are kept in the best possible condition, however they are used by multiple guests and may have signs of wear and tear. We do not provide ISOFIX baby seats, some of our vehicles can fit ISOFIX but we cannot guarantee that your rental vehile will have ISOFIX. All our baby seats are CE certified and legal for use. If you are not sure that our seats may be the best option for you, please bring your own. Our staff are not obliged to fit any seats, this should be done by the childs legal guardians. We do not accept any responsibility for the safety of our seats or for seats not fitting correctly due to car model restrictions.
AVAILABILITY: Cars are reserved by ‘Group Types’ and not specific models. Delivery problems, however, may compel us to supply another ‘Group Type’ in exceptional cases. In case where upon we will not be able to deliver we will refund any deposits made.
DELIVERY AND COLLECTION CHARGES: FREE, except for deliveries/collections between 20.00hrs – 08.00hrs. For deliveries to Kampi and Skinari Harbour the charges is 100€.
FERRYING THE CAR: Is strictly forbidden, your insurance policy does not cover any cars leaving the island of Zakynthos. Damages and re-patriating the vehicle are sole responsibility of the renter.
GPS TRACKERS: All our vehicles have the use of GPS tracking devices. GPS tracking devices are used to track the location of our vehicles as part of our services for both safety and security.By using our services, you acknowledge and provide consent for the use of GPS tracking devices to track the location of our vehicle as described above. We take data privacy seriously and will handle all tracking data in with utmost security. Tracking data may be collected, stored and used for the purpose of providing our services and improving our offerings and will not be shared with third parties without proper consent or as required by law.
REPLACEMENT VEHICLES: In case of a breakdown, your vehicle will be replaced. Group Type and period will depend on availability. If we do not have availability a refund for unused days will be issued. In case of an accident vehicle replacement will depend on cause of damage and availability.
CAR CLEANING: A minimum 50€ charge will be applied for cars returned extremely dirty either inside or outside. This will also apply for wet car seats, tarnished car seats from sun tan oil and dirty boot space.
INSURANCE INFORMATION COLLISION DAMAGE WAIVER INSURANCE (C.D.W.): with C.D.W insurance renters liability is reduced to 900€ for car categories Y, O, J ,AE and for all other categories the own risk is 1,200€. However C.D.W. insurance does not cover damages to the vehicle if they have been caused by negligence, on unasphalted roads, by any violation of the Greek Traffic Law, also any unrepairable damages the tyres, rims, undercarriage or interior of the vehicle will be paid for by the renter. Furthermore, keys, canvas roofs, media systems, wheel covers and other accessories are not covered by C.D.W. insurance. Clients are obliged to inform immediately in case of an accident otherwise insurance will become void. Administrative costs, for insurance and legal reports apply at the cost of 100€.
PERSONAL ACCIDENT INSURANCE (P.A.I.): Personal Accident Insurance can be obtained for 7€ per day per vehicle, covering the driver and each passenger, with the following amounts respectively: Benefits in euros: Driver Loss of life Driver 17,808€ / Driver Bodily Injuries 17,808€ Each Passenger Loss of life 1,000,000€ / Each Passenger Bodily Injuries 1,000,000€
ADDITIONAL DRIVERS: For each additional driver (max 2 drivers per vehicle) there is a surcharge of 5€ per day.
SUPER C.D.W. INSURANCE (SCDW): Covers the vehicle for damages to the tyres, rims, undercarriage, initial legal aid, it also covers additional drivers and passengers for P.A.I. With this package the excess on all categories of cars is wavered. Amounts for this package vary depending on car Category. Administrative costs for insurance and legal reports apply at the cost of 100€.
Any and all disputes which may arise between ‘Karydis & Co. OE’ and renter will be settled before the competent courts of Greece. The renter and all additional authorized drivers are each personally and jointly liable accepting that they acquires no rights other than stated in this agreement.
